The VDS Graduate Support Day

CPD for Success, Support & Solidarity

10am - 4pm

Saturday 02 October 2021

Until the event starts

Did you graduate in 2019 or 2020?

It's been a strange, challenging year so don't miss the opportunity to catch up with your classmates, network and create new connections whilst exploring the challenges faced in your first 18 months in practice...

Would you like to have a day of connection, support and solidarity whilst accumulating 6 hours of CPD?

Our Graduate Support Day 2021 will be an online event like no other and trust us, you don't want to miss it!

Join us for the opportunity to swap stories and learn from each other after what has no doubt been a strange and challenging start to your veterinary career!

Watch Communication Challenges play out LIVE. Ask your questions, take away top tips to help you feel more confident when you meet these challenges in practice, and talk to heads of the key veterinary organisations as you experience all we have to offer throughout the day...

Organised by the VDS, the event will be expertly led by the VDS Training team, with input and advice from experienced practitioners from other veterinary organisations, including the BVA, RCVS, VMG, BSAVA, SPVS and SPVS Educational Trust.

The CPD element of the event uses professional role players, who bring challenging vet/client situations you may be facing in practice to life, which can then be dissected by the audience in a virtual setting.

We also have a series of virtual panel and discussion sessions covering self-care, mistakes, complaints, time management and progression; you spoke, and we listened.

We want to help. And as an added bonus in September 2021, we will be adding 'Flipped Classroom' content for ticket holders, providing resources to help you both to prepare for the day, and to reference back to. This will include videos, downloads and stories.

Ticket holders will also have access to a digital delegate bag with exclusive content from VDS Training, Supporters & Sponsors.

Tickets are just £35

We're here to help YOU.

We want to see you succeed in practice, and to find fulfilment within the veterinary profession. Earlier this year, we asked members of the 2019/2020 graduate cohorts which topics they felt would help. We have created this schedule around your requests and needs, following a year like no other. We hope that you will enjoy this event as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.
